Because your body can only absorb a limited amount of calcium at a time, it is important to spread the intake throughout the day. We recommend using no more than 500 mg of calcium per intake. This gives your body the time and space to absorb the calcium properly.

Why calcium is not added to our WLS products

Calcium is intentionally excluded from Elan’s WLS products (Compass, Believe, and Supreme products). We do this for a reason: calcium can inhibit the absorption of iron in your body. And proper iron absorption is essential to prevent anemia.

Important for your health

Are you taking the Calcium Vital tablet alongside your Elan WLS supplements? Then do not take them simultaneously. Ensure there are at least 2 hours between both intakes. This gives your body the chance to absorb iron optimally.
